Long story is long. Fail title is fail.

Anyways this is the (first) half of my entry for 's Shifter contest. [link]. Initially I wasn't going to split this into more than one part, but it got onto 14 pages and I decided that I probably should, since the next bit is probably going to be just as long if not longer.

If you've followed my work at all than you already know that this isn't my first foray into the Shifter universe. However, I extrapolated a bit this time in order to flush the story out some more (I hope you don't mind Bridget!). I also tried to do my best to write America and Canada as children. I'm not sure how I did because it's been a few years since I've actually been around a child around that age.

It was also my first time writing a reader insert as first person. I usually like first person, but I dunno if I'm gonna use it like this again XD
